Specifications do not write themselves. Not even after a protein shake.

Pudzian can lift a bag of tile adhesive. He cannot lift the standard of documentation nobody updated for three months.

PUDZIAN / JUNIOR DESIGNERA STUDIO STORY

On Thursday at 4:12 somebody said: “We need the full material schedule tomorrow.” Pudzian put down his dumbbell. The studio went quiet, as if treats had been discontinued. On the desk: samples, three receipts and a note saying “the pretty tile”. No manufacturer. The prettiness checked out.

A sample without a name does not go to site.

Pudzian started by questioning the tiles. One had a product code. Another had last year’s price. The third only had a coffee stain. None would talk. Now every selected material immediately gets a record: manufacturer, collection, code, variant, dimensions and intended location.

We add a source link, the date the price was checked and the decision status. “They liked it in the meeting” does not mean “order it”. The accountant liked Pudzian too, but that does not put him in the bathroom fittings schedule.

Documentation needs regular sets too.

We update the schedule when a decision is made, not the night before delivery. Ten minutes after a meeting beats six hours of Friday archaeology. Pudzian calls it circuit training: select, record, confirm, next station.

We keep decisions and material links with the project in arkeeno so samples do not start a separate life in the car boot. Quantities are checked against drawings and with the contractor; allowances depend on the material and layout. A dumbbell is not a unit of area, although Pudzian submitted a proposal.

A small checklist, a large relief.

Our record for each item: room; element; manufacturer and code; colour and size; quantity and unit; source and price date; availability; who orders; approval status; possible substitute. If we do not know, we write “to be confirmed”, not optimism.

Finally, someone else checks the schedule against current drawings. Pudzian wanted to review his own work because he was “in great shape”. Roki explained that great shape will not spot a tap in the wrong finish. Neither will a protein shake.
